The Winter Warmth Drive at Adams Elementary is our way of supporting families in our school community who could use a little extra warmth this season. The Winter Warmth wish-list includes requests for NEW outdoor wear, warm clothing, books, and gifts for Adams families.

Important Dates:

Nov. 30th: Last day to sign up to receive warmth.

Dec. 11th: Latest date for deliveries to Adams.

Dec. 13th: Sorting items in Adams Cafeteria.

Dec. 15th or earlier: Delivery to Recipients.

Ways you can contribute

Donate:

  • Select items on the wishlist that you'd like to purchase.

  • Drop off your donations at Adams or have them shipped directly to the school. Shipping address: Adams Elementary, Winter Warmth Drive, 950 W 22nd Ave, Eugene, OR 97405. Be sure to label your donations with the Family ID found in the item description on the wishlist.

  • If you need a porch pickup, please email adamseugenepta@gmail.com and an ACG Board Member will swing by your place to pick up your donation at your convenience.

Please ensure delivery of your donations to Adams by December 11th.

Volunteer:

When we have all the donations in, we need to sort into bins. This takes the entire cafeteria and more hands make light work. If you would like to volunteer your time to help with the Winter Warmth Drive, please email adamseugenepta@gmail.com to let us know or sign up here. *You will need to be a 4j approved volunteer, form is located here.

Your donations to the Winter Warmth program may be tax-deductible! If you would like to claim your donations on your taxes, we recommend keeping a copy of your Winter Warmth commitment(s) and the receipts for your purchases. While it is not required, taking a picture of your donation can be helpful in the event of an audit. The Adams Community Group’s tax ID number is 93-6039055. Who is benefiting from my donations?

This wish list is specifically for families with at least one student attending Adams Elementary in the 2023-2024 school year.

Are you accepting gently used items?

Unfortunately, no. Due to health and safety concerns, we are only able to accept newly purchased items for this drive.

When will recipients get their items?

All donations will be sorted and packaged for delivery to recipients by December 15.

How do I sign up to donate?

We're using SignUp.com for this Wishlist. First, click the “Share Warmth” button above to see the list. Second, review the options and choose the spot(s) you like. Finally, sign up! It's easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.com.

SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact the Adams Community Group to be signed up manually.

How do I turn in the items I sign up for?

Items can be delivered to Adams or purchased online and shipped directly to Adams Elementary, Winter Warmth Drive, 950 W 22nd Ave., Eugene, OR 97405. Please note that they must scheduled to arrive no later than December 11th.

If you choose to purchase from local retailers (which we whole-heartedly endorse) but can’t deliver to Adams, please email the Adams Community Group to schedule a porch pickup.
